No sounds, but baby is definitely moving around in there. I’ll probably wait a few hours and see if it has internally pipped yet. The last batch of eggs I did, I didn’t have the wide end tilted up, and all eggs were breach. This time, I made sure to put the wide ends a bit higher, so the duckling shouldn’t be breach…
I don’t use turners I do mine by hand as the eggs lay flat Under a mom duck
But the school that uses my set up uses the turner where baby is up and down till lockdown
But what really causes the wrong end is baby gets to big to turn at hatch
I had 6 eggs ranging from 54 - 68 grams
4 needed help hatching 1 in wrong end 1 internal but could move to hit the external
2 hit outside the air cell and couldn’t finish
Mom had a batch under her small eggs as well and out of the 3 that made hatch time 2 internal but couldn’t move to external and died and one wrong end who I had to help
Now I don’t let my duck sit or myself incubate any egg under 70 grams
The two bigger of my 6 eggs hatched themselves perfectly
So small eggs can result in not getting into proper hatch
The next thing is some eggs start to hatch early and are still being turned going by the book of day 25
If it’s trying to get into position and bring turned baby will get confused
I don’t go by day 25 anymore
I have had to many from the schools to my hatch to my mom be all over the place on hatching
I go by the egg
Rocking and moving around
Shadowing pushing along the air cell and the air cell suddenly dipping forward quickly
That’s my lockdown
If it’s day 23 or 26 it’s what my egg is doing
I had a bad run my first batch loosing 2 due to my lack of knowledge on how to assist and when but I have since then had 2 school classes hatch 100 %
I helped a family plus 2 buyers get 100 % and I myself get 100 %
These were all first time hatchers
I really learn to read my eggs
I am worried about yours if that is a bruise you won’t have hours and hours as baby will run out of air
Can you take another picture of the egg so we can get a good look
