Bless your heart! (I'm laughing but ... Yeah, definitely not at you!). That's right, your husband should get those fellas to pitch in. They can make a project day out of it.

Well if he can do that he may just be able to earn his keep...On the plus side, they will devour poison ivy.
Really? Getting poked in the eye by a sharp horn is definitely painful to me. Having a horned goat get its head caught in the fence and dying of heat exhaustion because no one found it in time is painful to the goat. Please don't dehorn your goats. They are perfectly safe with their horns, please do not dehorn them. It is a extremely painful and unneeded thing for the goats. Please, please do decide against it!
I agree. Dont dehorn. This is my goat Sonny. Yes he got stuck in a bush. And he is a huge Boer goat, but he has never hurt anyone with those horns. Please don't dehorn your goats. The horns of a Boer goat slope backward and are fairly close to the head. Therefore they are less likely to cause trouble than the horns of dairy goats. Horns of dairy goats grow more upright, the points are sharp, and they can injure you, themselves, and each other. Whether or not to remove horns is a matter of personal choice. My first goat had a full set of horns. I grew to hate them. She threw her head back and got me in the face. She would hook other goats in the belly or ram them in the side. She got her head caught in fences and feeders more times than I could count. I finally got them removed. The funny thing is that once she learned she could no longer spear her penmates she started biting them. The bites caused a lot less damage than the horns did though.I agree.
