It Crows…. I think 🤔 😂

Yall! I got 4 chicks on May 13; they were 4 days old. One went back to the farm July 13 because he was crowing. The other 3 were kept because they’re hens. Well, Cheeks started making a noise like a crow. Sorta. Poor thing goes through a whole ritual to get ready and steady, then stretches that neck out and open comes the beak. Only the noise that comes out sounds like it’s gonna be a crow but immediately turns to more a choked out gargle. It’s quite pitiful. I know some hens can “crow” but this bird seems to be developing differently than the twin. Butterfinger I really hope is a hen and really shows no behavioral roo qualities but I’m gonna post pics just to see what yall think.

So a little over three months old? Lovely boy, sorry. That comb is super red, much more than a pullet’s would be at that age.

I was talking about Cheeks here, but if Butterfinger is the same age, he is also a cockerel.
