I just finished a book called 'The Third Twin', by Ken Folliet.

In this book, they manage to locate clones and twins by running a search for identical fingerprints in an FBI database.

I swear, nothing kills a good sci-fi book for me like a failure to do basic research.

Anyone else have this problem?

I like reading books that were written "back in the day" that predict how life would be around the year 2000... You know, flying around in spaceships, living on Mars, etc. (for EVERYONE, not just astronauts).

I married a science teacher, there are entire movies he grunts at how they got it wrong (noisy space battles, people watching commets hit, etc.)
