It finally happened! Our first hawk attack. Turned out hilarious.

I HATE HAWKS! They always take my chickens! Normally if i scream at them they drop them, but by then the damage is so bad they can't be saved

Thats why we are making an enclosure with a roof instead of free ranging anymore !

Yeah, we really got away very good and easy this time, thank the Good Lord. I take one day at a time. Otherwise I am going to worry myself sick of these little red ........... chooks!

If my neighbors saw me running after the hawk with the spatula held high and screaming at the top of my lungs, I am afraid they would not be too surprised.

I mean it's not as though I do anything weird all the time, like raise chickens in my back yard. Oh well, I am enjoying the process. NEXT.

dancingsquirrel, I can just see one of them (my neighbors) looking out the window
