......AND I was afforded the priviledge of seeing it happen! Went out to the coop this morning as usual, but I saw only 2 of the girls. Panic at first, of course, but went around to check nesting boxes. Sure enough, there she was in the second one. At first I thought she was sick...this relentless heat and all. I pet her a few minutes and she barely flinched. I went ahead and filled the feed and changed and iced the water all the while worried.
When she still hadn't come out, I went back to the box and talked to her and pet her some more. She stood up and looked a little wobbly..my heart sank. First thought...heat stroke!
All of a sudden.....it dropped out! It....was.....MAGICAL!!! My beautiful baby looked at me then scurried out to get herself a much deserved breakfast and long cold drink!
I can not tell you the thrill I have been on all day!!!
