It has begun... baby chickies!

I just called McMurray Hatchery and told them to go ahead and charge my card now for my next order. $200 worth of little fuzzballs to be sent for April 7th. I figured I would get ahead of the game on some of these breeds.

Yep, Spring 2014 is already being planned out. Now to work out exactly how my current chickens will be penned up with their respective breed's rooster for my own 2014 hatches...

Anyone else already working on theirs? Or am I just an early bird? Lol!

haven't ordered my chicks yet but plans are in the works for an outdoor brooder and possibly a new bigger coop! we plan on hatching some of our own as well.

We just got our first batch from Mt. Healthy on the 21st, raising them over winter to get a head start with our current flock, we got BO's and RIR's in and I think our current flock will be happy to welcome the extras all our currents are hens and we got 7 roos out of the new batch so we can try and figure out which will be our breeders and which will be our backups.
