Any guesses to breed?

I have no idea on the breed, but I have one with a white spot on its head too! Mine look like yours with all colors in there. I know mine are mixed breeds though.

I think that is more of a wild type partridge pattern. They will change appearance a lot in the next 2 months.


Similar looking pattern on this 7 week EE chick. She was a chipmunk patterned chick like yours.

This one would have also been a chipmunk patterned chick, but not gold/brown.

Are they crosses or did the people keep separate breeding pens for pure breeds? Do you have a list of possible parent stock?

Lightly feathered legs on a dark bird, possible Marans.

That is my bator that I made. It is simple. I hatched a 100 percent hatch with a 25 watt lightbulb. Not for everyone... It takes work. lol
