For some reason I think they're absolutely adorable when they're still wet from the egg haha.

Both baby and mommy are absolutely gorgeous. I love the pattern on her feathers!

Hatching this one was super stressful, it was my first time. In fact I've said it in other posts....this whole chicken thing is my first time since May. The mom and dad are from a friend of mine and she sat on the eggs while we were on vacation, I candled them and they were good so I let her hatch them. Since the second egg due any day is a few days behind I move it to the incubator today so mommy can take care of this one. I have 40 other chickens too!

I just had one hatch out about an hour ago!!! He is trying to get the other D'Unccle egg to pip so he has a friend!! So far only 1 little pip on the second egg- the first one went from nothing, to zipped, to OMG the baby poped out!!! from zip to out was about 20 mins. I was at a baseball game- so not sure how long from pip to zip. It was intacted before the game!!!
