We collected two eggs from the farm on July 6th, It was very hot that week 102 degrees plus...we made a home made incubator and kept the temp between 95 and102. it did get up to 104 to 106 a few times but just for a short period...the humidity has fluxuated,,,30 to 50 ish.

We did not cool the eggs as I did not know at that point that we were supposed to and it was so hot out....we did candle them about 2 weeks ago and it looked like there was air space in both. I pretty much thought that we were past the time so for the past few days I just kept the light on but the cover off so it was around 95-97 degrees,,,anyway yesterday eve we noticed a drop of golden colored liquid on the top of one of the eggs...is that pipping ? it hasn't progressed since then. I spritzed them just a bit ago (because the humity was just around 35%) and now there looks to be some white foamy stuff on to pf the large golden drop. Is this chick trying to hatch? Is there a problem if it hasn't progresses since last night? I read in on another site that you could "help" the chick if if doesn't progress but I am leary of doing that,,,but also wondering if it is too late. Quick adivice is needed. Thank you.

From my understanding, leaking yellow fluid means a rotten egg. Be VERY careful, as these can explode on you at any moment during handling, and they STINK. You would hear the chick if it was attempting to hatch.

That would be one bad stink bomb to mess with, the foaming doesn't sound normal, perhaps next time try to keep a more steady temp rate.

Any weeping out of eggs is very bad. Get them out soon as possible and be very careful as they do explode very easy and will contaminate your whole bator if they do. Sanitize your bator really well before setting another batch of eggs.

Thanks for all your responses!
