Okay, I'll bite...how do you know it's a boy??!! That is one adorable little chick and I think it IS just a vaulted skull that went mutant! LOL Oh, and it's Miss Fit! That's the way you spell it (if it turns out to be a girl). I mean it, Lurky! She is just ADORABLE!!!!! I want her!! Oh, and did the chicks arrive from mypetchicken.com?

No the chicks did not arrive

I am sure tomorrow they will be there. They actually said sat. but from NJ to MA i would have kinda expected them today. That is not far and it makes me wonder where these birds have sat all this time. 24 hours to make a 5 hour trip. I hope they did not get overheated anywhere.

OK....as for MISSFIT.......I was in a hurry and checked the wings as i saw a video about it but i actually was wrong.....by the video it would be a girl....HOWEVER...i called a hatchery to tell them about her, and they said for one that that method of sexing is only acurate if the parents are certain breeds or some formula and i should not go by that. So it is a girl if it was to work, now i am home from work and looked better. And for another thing, i told them about her head and they said that it is a defect and she is definately a misfit. They get them in the hatchery and just dispose of them

I will get some new pics tonight and share them. You are all going to love her

she is so darn cute and sweet. My DH has alread got a soft spot for her. When i got home he said he held her and made little perches for her. Ahhhhhhh what a big mush! So We love her

The guy at the hatchery was very nice and very helpful to me....he did seem surprised she is alive still. Since they dispose of them, they dont really know how they would turn out.....but mine seems very strong and is eating

Wow that is very interesting. Perhaps a strange crop up of a genetic mutation. Crests came from somewhere right. Be sure to keep us updated on the little baby. She sure is a very special little chick. I have had deformed chicks born but they always died in the shell.

What an adorable chick!!! I sure hope she makes it into adulthood. I'll bet she'll be beautiful and probably very special!!

Ok.....not too much has changed to look at cept she has fluffed up more i think. From the back you can see that she is not quite right, but pbucket is draggin pretty bad. Took forever to get this photo uploaded. But who cares.....this is her good side

omg what a little cutie! It looks alot like a polish chick but it obviously isn't a polish lol. I wonder if she will have a crest or just a large lump on her head. She looks like she is doing well and she is extremely cute!

It will be interesting to see what growing will do. Her neck is slightly abnormal too. (lumpy)
I did not think she would have turned out so cute. She has quite a character too. She is so lonely that she goes right to my little dogs to see them. Tomorrow she will hopefully have some chickybaby company
