I was trying to change my avatar, so I went to the spot to do that, browsed to the picture I wanted, then clicked uploaded. Well, instead of ACTUALLY loading, it just took me back to the "Personality" page in my profile. [IMG]

Is anybody else having this issue?

Eenie, I tried it. For me it just flashed an "Avatar Uploaded" alert and took me back to the Personality page like it usually does. For me it always has the same avatar at first but when I restart the page it works.

Ihave had this frustration as well. The avatar does change, it just takes a while, almost as though it needs to be approved. My changes have taken a few hours, or even a couple of days. Patience, grasshopper!

Your browser is "caching" the images. Do CTRL + F5 and/or delete your internet history of files and the new avatar will show.

Mine shows if I restart the page. I'm using Firefox, though. Is it different with other browsers?

Quote:in short: No. see BYC (and most other forums) Cache Avatars/Profile pic (depending on forum software) to save space. So when you curse to BYC the internet browser is checked to see if you have an avatar in your cache if so it loads that. So you well need to force reload your browser by Ctrl + F5 as nifty said
