IT WORKED!!! Full crop is no longer full. Read what I did...

I was frantic to try and save my young hen with the full crop. I really didn't think it was going to help.. but she is all better!! CountryKitty said what she tried and so I thought why not? I made up in a little dish of some olive oil, garlic juice {from the big jars of crushed garlic} and a pinch of baking soda. I just put it in a medicine dropper and gave it to her that way several times a day and massaged her crop. For 3 days her crop remained unchanged when I only used JUST the oil. But by adding those 2 extra ingredients she was better a day and half later. So happy!! I really thought we might lose her..but now she is running around the chicken pen with her sisters again.

It makes sense. Garlic was the antibiotic of choice before the discovery of penicillin. Baking soda neutralizes low pH levels. And oil helps to lube up the works.
