My new babies are between 24 and 40hrs old and every so often they start scratching themselves. The brooder is the same 55g aquarium they were incubated in (I just cut an opening in the center styrofoam wall). They're on a bedding of shredded paper and havent been exposed to anything but that. To my inexperienced mind, its not likely they have mites or lice- any thoughts on why they're itchy? Or, is that normal? Its not often, but they ALL do it.
