Items stolen/Trespassing - Progress on our fence *pics post 91*

Awesome... thank you!! It sounds like it would be worth a try.

I thought I'd share some pics from our recent work around home.

Here's one fence line all cleared out and ready for fence posts.

My hubby running the borrowed skid steer to help him as he clears trees.

My dad working the post driver (he and mom surprised us Saturday evening and came down to help while Mike was still working on clearing trees).
IMG_4247.jpg

My dad "sharpening" the post so it would drive easier. I was sitting on the post holding it still... lol.

My adorable nephew, Lane, "helping" us.

He is getting so big!
IMG_4258.jpg

The posts we got done before the post drive broke... lol. Breaking stuff has become part of the process with this project!!!

My mom helped out by finishing mowing the field while we worked on fence. The four wheeler and brush hog were purchased from the previous owners (this is not the four wheeler that was stolen). I wish we had some hay equipment... we could have made hay instead of just mowing the field off!

Pretty flower I found earlier in the day while I was mowing the field. I can't help but take pictures of this stuff! lol.
IMG_4235.jpg

The field before it was mowed... another pretty picture just for the fun of it.

Looking down towards our house (you can't see it because it's on the other side of the pine trees) from the top of the field while I was mowing Saturday night. The tree in the middle of the field is an old apple tree. The equipment belongs to the oil well company. The white spot on the right side of the picture near the pine trees is our hoop house coop. You can see where we've been clearing on the left... if you look closely you can see the logs piled up.

Beth. you sure are getting a lot done.

you are getting all that clearing done very well.
and the fence post too,wow
Great family helpers.
Its Hard work We are still at it.
but such a joy when we can
take a few minutes and enjoy what we have..
and the littlest helper LoL
where did he get those beautiful eyes..

Thanks! My family is definitely a huge blessing. Even when they're not here helping, they're very supportive. I am so thankful for them!

Lane's eyes... I'll say the credit has to go to my sister because she has pretty blue eyes too!

Great to have family if its just to say Good Job ,or be there to lift and push.LoL
We have had so much rain it slowed down our work.
Our carport last night looked like a river running at high speed.
Hopefully we can get our bigger coop built.and get the
hugh tree down. For that we will need professionals.
we been told its more then 75 years old.But its a danger the house.

I love the lil helpers tools. Plastic hammer and measuring tape...everyone needs those.

the family effort...oh it warms my soul. that's so nice.

you better believe he knew he was buying stollen property...that's why he sold it so fast...he's just trying to get in good now and act as if he's such the good guy and he popped the other guy "for" you....yeah, whatever....keep it short...don't encourage him to talk anymore than he has to...shoo fly shoo. yuck...i dislike when people don't get a clue. and really are unsavory people. you're good folk...don't let the loosers try to drag you down. i can't wait for your fence to be up too. woo hooo!

this is my side...MY...SIDE....you stay on that side and I'll stay on my side. lol.

hugs,
g

Also, have you had any contractors on your property? My dad had a bunch of work done at his place and shortly thereafter his chainsaw and his golf clubs were stolen as well as some tools. He's quite a recluse and many of those guys who do that sort of work have a criminal past. Lots of the guys on that crew did and it was a VERY reputable contractor.

Yes, this is a common problem. They hire who they can. They don't have a lot of choice. Went through this while building a house recently. We were lucky, sll the theft was from the contractor. Poor fellow could hardly keep a tape measure.

Wow, getting alot of work done Beth.
You take great pictures!!

Love the post pounder! I'm jealous, we have to dig holes while an auger then bury the post in and then wait for who knows how long until the posts are sturdy.

Its great to have family for backup!

Thanks everyone!

G, I definitely plan to not talk to him too much. His court date for the drug charge is coming up soon. He was caught selling heroin near a school in my hometown, so I imagine he'll go to jail for a while at least.

I can't wait for the fence to be up either! My hubby worked his butt off Friday after work (midnights) and all the clearing was finished when I got home from work! I wanted to get the rest of the posts driven, but we have to wait for someone else to help us get the post driver back on the tractor (it's HEAVY and takes several people... especially since the driver is laying flat on a trailer from us bringing it back from being fixed) before we can drive posts. Hopefully my dad can come down one evening this week to help get it hooked up.

Thanks Amos... I love taking pictures!

I feel your pain... I've built fence that way before! I am SO thankful to have a post driver that we can borrow. It is much quicker and makes for sturdier fence.

think you know your neighbors? check out the website www.felonspy.com/search.html If anyone near you has ever been arrested it will show where they live, what they were arrested for and all other information you need, I did and found out I had 2 sex offenders living couple miles down the road. I thought we were safe living this far out in the woods but looking at where they lived and our house, east trek over the mountain,
