Acan had made great progress today on both repair of the garden and his irrigation project. After what had happened several days ago, he was particularly wary while working now, always turning an eye to the ebony walls, just in case.

Acan perked up, cocking his head to the side. He thought he heard something outside the walls, but he was sure the soldiers, being on high alert would see anything unusual. Acan went back to work.

Rayko awoke some time later with a nightmare. He sat up and looked around for the invaders, but only found an empty room. He stood up and shifted to fly a patrol around the castle. It was probably nothing, but he'd feel better.

Lillia sat in the library, reading the spell her mother was known for using. Turning into mist, and back into a bird once again.
It could easily be messed up, with made her rather nervous, but she needed to be as good as her mother, didn't she?

Turning into a bird, she repeated what she had to do in her head. This had to be done right. If she turned back into a solid, but was a bloody mess and ended up dying of her injuries, then the kingdom would have nearly nothing to go on. But she had to learn how to do this, because it could easily save you from deadly situations.

So it could either end her life, or save it one day.

Suddenly, Lillia turned into mist like she had desired. But turning back didn't turn out as perfect as she had hoped, though not as deadly as she had feared.
There was a large gash in her side, since she had stopped focusing out of panic. Running to the hospital wing, she started wrapping herself up, cursing because she didn't do it correctly.
Though, it was better than dying. She'd just have to try harder.
