Lillia still had not gone up to bed, because everyone seemed to be making a fuss. She had gotten conformation that there weren't any more humans about, but she was still very suspicious and didn't really feel like falling asleep.
Perhaps I'll just stay up tonight, mostly. Or sleep in the rafters Lillia thought to herself. Of course, it wouldn't be wise to deprive herself of sleep. In fact, that would be rather immature, and would not improve how she felt.

Achilles approached Lillia, looking very frustrated with the situation. He bowed before he spoke, but didn't bother with doing anything else in respect.
"My queen, this kingdom seems to be falling apart, I swear. We need to take action, the humans have to be hiding somewhere."

Lillia nodded in agreement. "And the way they're attacking makes no sense. They are coming one by one." She said and shook her head.

"Tomorrow we need to search, beyond the castle walls. At least, that is what I suggest. But for now, we need to make sure that you don't get murdered in your sleep. Is your room secured? I heard somebody was doing that."

"Well, Sino went to secure my windows, but he hasn't done it yet, I believe."

Achilles sighed. "I'll do it, then. We can't take ten hours to do every little thing. So, give me a few minutes, and you may sleep without worrying about having a bullet in your head." He then walked away.
(He did)

Acan carefully trode to a lesser visited part of the courtyard, opposite the garden. Something was wrong, something was.. out of place. Scenting a trail, he followed it behind the stables, between the stable wall and the rampart wall. That's where he found it, hidden partially by a haphazardly place flake of hay. It was a very narrow tunnel, newly excavated. This must have been where they were coming in! Most of the birds were looking up, not down, and only the vultures could track a scent as well as Acan, with his huge sinuses. He pulled back, staring for a moment before turning and crying out alarm.

Rayko heard the terror bird's call and flapped harder to get to him to assist him in whatever way he could. He cursed himself a fool for failure in his efforts to keep his countrymen safe. He had to change his methods. He saw Acan and landed close by. "What is it? Where is the threat?" He asked alarmed.

" Forgive my forwardness sir, but I may have uncovered something by the stables," stated Acan, his eyes moving from his chest down to Rayko's feet. He shifted uncomfortably from one foot to another, then stated,"if I may, sir, I would be honored to lead you to a hole, recently dug, between the rampart wall and behind the stables." He turned to lead Rayko there.

"Yes, please do, Acan. I have recently suspected as much. For I haven't seen hide nor hair of any humans coming up the mountain pass. There is no other way for them to get here. Which made me suspicious of their successful stealth attacks." Rayko said with quiet resolve.

Aiveron whispered softly to Sebastian, "Hang in there. Help is on it's way my friend. " Sebastian was so pale, it frightened him. He rushed through the now open door and navigated the hallways to get to the Infirmary. "Help!" He called out as he gently laid Sebastian on one of the tables.

( Who plays the doctors? Poor Sebastian is destined to die I guess. Lol! )
