( plenty of great horned, barn, burrowing and these tiny little owls that I'm not quite sure what they are. Out at my folks' homestead, there's a great horned owl nest with 2-3 owlets every year just outside the mechanical shed.

( We have a breeding pair around our house. They like to get in the huge tree outside my window every night. The first year, I was sure I was going to die. Because of the old hoot owl at my window being a harbinger of death. )

Aiveron smiled pleasantly as she look to him. "That is very kind of you, lady Lyra. I think he'll enjoy the company of a lovely lady. " He whispered softly.

Magatha finished eating, then stood, with some effort, leaning heavily on her cane. She would not be able to lean down to pick up the breakfast dishes and straighten out again, so she returned to her flighted magpie form and glided to the scullery door, rapping on it with her beak to get Emily's attention. Emily, a little bit annoyed at the interruption, nonetheless realized Magatha's conundrum and quickly dashed to gather the eating utensils and plate and mug. Tipping her head to the elder, she went back inside, scurrying over to the dish pile awaiting her from the morning's meals. Magatha glided back over to her hens, cackling and scratching around the kitchen waste pile happily. She decided to let them have just a little bit longer here.
