Its all in the name?

Seems like every hatchery has a different name for their meat birds now a days...

So whats the difference between :

Black Broiler
Red Broilers
Cornish Cross Slow
Freedom rangers
Colored broilers
Cornish roasters, Etc.

Are they all just names for the same basic thing? A slower growing meat bird?

Black broiler and red broiler are different from the cornish rock hybrid. There are 2 seperate strains or varieties of cornish rock. There is the slow broiler that takes longer and then there is the fast broiler. You have to read the description to see how long they will take to finish.
