It's Almost Hatch Day!

It's Day 17... tomorrow's lockdown.

I started with 12 chicken eggs (bought from someone else) and now there are 10. #2 died early in incubation and #10 around the 2 week mark. All of them are mixed breed, most are probably half Ayam Cemani, but some could be mixed with Silkie as well. This is my first time hatching chicken eggs. I just candled them all 2 days ago and they were all doing good. I will be candling them tomorrow night as well at the same time that I take out the egg turner.

Help me pass the time by posting pictures of your chicks, or sharing information about your hatches happening soon!

I can't wait to meet these chicks I hope everything goes okay for them

Just candled the eggs this morning and they're all doing good so far. I removed the egg turner and I'll be increasing humidity next.

The eggs I am hatching were store fridge eggs and the farm only had 1 rooster for alot of hens so not many were fertile, plus farmer washed her eggs. So I had the 3. (candled day 18 blue is bopping her air cell,) pic from yesterday

I don't need more birds just something to do. I have 3 chicks these eggs can live with once they hatch.

I also have these eggs from a diff farm due on the 10th all I know about these eggs is the farm is 2 miles from my house, they are fridge eggs also and prolly washed. but they do have roosters.

Nice! Those chicks are so cute I was lucky to get eggs that were all fertilized and stored well. Hopefully you get some chicks out of your second batch of eggs

Update on the eggs. I have 3 external pips already! I wasn't expecting them yet, but every egg is different I suppose. Hopefully the other 7 will externally pip tomorrow and they'll all be that much closer to hatching. I am trying not to expect all 10 to hatch, but I do hope that's the case

These little chicks were active last night lol! I had one hatch at about midnight, 2 hatched around 3am, and another one just hatched an hour ago. I have 4 external pips out of 6 remaining eggs.

Mine are fridge eggs, so they are taking longer, day 20 for me. 2 in aircell, one trying to punch through aircell. I will not start to worry though till Mon. eve.
