My girls are trying to dust bathe in their litter... ummm ...ewww. So I am going to give them a warm quick gentile bath, I was thinking with J&J baby wash. Then a quick pat dry and blow with the hair dryer on low. Sound good? It's a warm sunny day here in California so I figured it would be a good time.

not sure what shampoo u should use, but dont make the water too warm or too cold. You dont want the baby going into shock

One of my chicks got pooped on when it was two weeks old and it was one of the super gross smelly ones... I couldn't even pick her up cuz she smelled SO bad, poor little thing

I used luke warm water and unscented anti-bacterial soap as per a BYC recommendation. It worked like magic but the baby was pretty upset and shivery so do make sure you keep her warm until she dries. If you've got a hair dryer with a warm setting that doesn't get too hot it will work wonders for the drying portion of the process.

I had to wash one my chicks the other day and used dish soap (it's 'natural soap', 7th generation brand - so good for the environment). I've heard other people using dawn or ivory dish soap. I would think that J&J baby shampoo would be just fine for them too.
