It's been 18 hours since the pip...chick is having a hard time...

I have 2 other chicks hatched already - this is my first hatch

I have one chick that has punctured the egg but is having a hard time getting through the "skin" well I don't know the correct term for it, but the white coating under the shell. It is really thick, much thicker than the others. That chick has been working since yesterday and I know it must be exhausted. What should I do??

Take a pair of tweezers and carefully brake away some of the shell like you are zipping it for her.
I have had to help several hatch. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

No experience with that part (I'm on day 10) but good luck with what ever you do. There are numerous posts about how to help them so read up on that.
