1. Its absolutely beautiful

2. Your feed will get wet.

3. How old are they? and where are you? Temperature requirements depend on age and stage of feathering.

4. Do you have ventilation in that coop?

5. If your chickies don't like it, you can send it down here, I have some that will!

thank you. there i think 6 weeks old. were in michigan. its still in the 30's at night so i don't know if the 100 watt bulb is going to be enough.

i think its vented pretty good. the entire top is open and covered with wire cloth, the eves are also open and covered with wire cloth, the one gable end is open as well and wire clothed as well. and i can open both windows if needed.

i'll go back out and take pics of the inside and ventilation. brb.

I love the design. It looks like a lot of planning went into it.

However, I'm a bit worried about the choice of chicken wire for the run. Unfortunately, chicken wire was designed with the intention of keeping chickens in, but it doesn't do much for keeping predators out. Many predators can rip chicken wire apart. Just something to consider... Hardware cloth is better, but it's also more expensive.

i hope i don't have a coon problem! and not much planing went into it lol! i plan on locking them in at night and the coop should be secured with the wire cloth.

here's the ventilation pics.
