Guys, this project was started in MAY. I have zero carpentry experience except for doing my home's window and baseboard trim. I had to HEAVILY rely on my gifted father for help. We have hawks and weasels and foxes so it needed to be a fortress. Between our horrible cold spring and our wickedly hot summer, I really didnt know when we would finish it, but here it is! The inside floor is coated in black jack and the walls are covered in 4 layers of limewash. I need to make one more removable roost but otherwise, the girls are moved in and safe. I have their water in the bucket with nipple waterers because I scrubbed way too many chicken waterers when I helped on the farm in my youth. I'm still figuring out the best way to feed them.

Best of all! I was gifted with my very first (that I found anyway) eggs today! Chicken culprit is unknown. The only girl we thought would start laying any time soon is a welsummer, so it's definitely not her!

What an awesome set up! I agree if the last two pictured are eastereggers than it’s them. It looks to me as though you have three Easter eggers and one cream legbar (tuff on head). She’ll give a blue egg. The Easter eggers are either green blue or light brown.

Sweet Run frame!!
