I went to a vet for when my roo had frostbite. She said that even though chickens register pain differently than we do, that my roo was at the very least mildly uncomfortable because frostbite is considered a type of burn. She gave me a topical cream, silver sulfadiazine, in order to prevent infection and heal it up faster. She also said to keep him in a place where it keeps around or above freezing so that it doesn't refreeze (which causes more damage) and so he doesn't get too acclimated to the "warmer" temperatures.View attachment 1229976 i think it's finally over. Been -20 for days. Everyone fare well except for my marans roo. Is there anything I can do to help him recover? Is this beyond help?
