Yea my wee peas that have started roosting are soaked but seem to be ok even though it is 70 degrees, the younger hatchlings still get locked up in the brooder box at night so they were fine, most of my sitting peahens have lost their eggs, i found every one of them standing over their flooded nest as the eggs floated all over the place, finely had to totally mess up the areas to get them to stop trying to sit water instead of eggs, poor girls and most were due to hatch in a few days.It is still misting. We had about 7" of rain. It is overcast and 62•. A week from now it will be 95•! It got down to the 50s last night. I had taken the heat off of the week old guineas and out the 6week old pea n with them. Big mistake. I had very cold birds in the utility room this morning. I thought I lost the guineas this morning! I turned the heat lamp back on and I wrapped the pea in a towel and held him until he warmed up. Now everyone is fine. I won!t do that again!
Glad you caught your wee ones in time, when they get cold (hyperthermic) it stops their digestion process as well as other things so they can not metabolize energy need to keep them warm and they can die pretty fast.

PS we are at 5 inches so far and it is still pouring down
