We ar going to be getting some low temps here in the next few days, it was 62 degrees here at 1pm and it is 48 and dropping now, should be 4 to 8 degrees with the wind chill, hope the rain holds out er i am gonna have a bunch a peacycles in the morning

We have some snow. The temp is 10• and the wind chill is below 0•! I am going to ck on my birds and feed and water them. I hate to open their house though!
I don't mind a light snow like this but i would hate the deep snow you all get.

Hope you and your are going to be ok and not get any of this horrid artic blast

Chores are all done for today. In the time of an hour, the temp started at 20 degrees, and when we came inside close to an hour later it was down to 14 degrees. We have drifts and big ones. Wind is still blowing hard from the north and the snow is blinding at times. I'm sure some has watched those Little House on the Prarie episodes with the snowstorms they had,Well what we're getting here is comparable, even if the shows scenes were Hollywood made-ups. Zaz,the coop with the compartments,,they are not air tight. There is a small door on one side for birds to go in and out into a pen,,and the backside has big door that I swing up to add feed and water. These doors are 4' wide and about 3' high, hinged at the top,and there is a hasp at the bottom to close and secure them in case of varmits. These doors are made of plywood, but have warped some cause of the rain,so they no longer fit super tight, the edges don't fit against the studs like they did when I made it,so air does move thru the compartments.

Pea Palace building was once again full of starlings and sparrows,,later tonight the new bb air gun will get a work out.I was worried too about my netting above the breeding pens, but it is as clear as new, wind is too strong I guess. All is good now,but the next two days starting tonight will be the worst.

Actually just looking at the label, they are steel with copper coating, same parameters now used for duck hunting loads. Small as a millet seed. I don't miss much, especially in a building with the roof only 9' high. It's 1/4 past 8 o'clock here now, blowing more intense than today and temp is now down to 7 degrees. Front door once agin has snow higher than bottom of door. Can't wait to see what tomorrow morning brings.

I just looked at the temp it is 13• will drop to 9•my birds are fine there is no wind inside the bird house so the wind chill is not a factor for them, but the wind chill is lower then 0•!
