It's going to be super cold.

It's been getting warmer here. Our male pea has been out surverying his domain. He did get stuck in our garage one night though. He was out doing his survey when horrid wind picked up. He had to seek shelter in our garage and was stuck there overnight. He didn't seem too pleased about it either.

Problem is here the ground is still frozen underneath all the snowcover. When we get the rain and the warmth the next few days of course the snow has to melt away to then thaw the ground. That normally takes several warm days and it will not be thawed before the rain Thursday so it will be a sloppy wet mess here.

Water standing all over here now.60 degrees outside and the wind blowing across the snow is making dense fog.Plus tornado warnings all over the state. I think Alaska would be better more predictable. They have snow and cold for 8 months but then their days are 20 hours long for 4 months.

Ours are enjoying the nicer day today. Might as well enjoy it while they can...we're getting snow here too, starting tonight...6- 10 inches, and ice storm beforehand. Followed by freezing cold most of next week.

One of our poor chicks lost a toe to frostbite a couple of weeks ago, she must have had it sticking out from under momma. She's still getting around ok..
