It was 65 here in PA today, felt like the semi-tropics to me! The snow/ice cover has almost disappeared and I spent 2 hours cleaning up in the barn. Boy, do things get hoggish during a long cold winter. Ticked off Mr. or Mrs. Opossum who lives in the unused barn stairwell, as I tried to clean around it and dispose of it's giant piles of poo, I have found evidence of rodents, my lone barn cat can't get the job done so I need to convince the Opossum to move on so I can put bait stations in those stairwells. Also ordered some "Bird Barrier netting" to close off the ends of the barn, tired of all the sparrows and starlings eating the feed and crapping the water buckets all up! Quite a lot of hollering going on and a few mating screams, but so far all the girls are still running away. It felt so good to hear the boys again and to not be freezing my butt off!
