it's here! it's here!

Ha, you are too funny. I keep my temp at 100, and my humidity at 60%. Julie tried the spritzing thing on her first hatch, but she recommended just upping the humidity to 65% during the hatch. That's what I did on my hatch this weekend, and it worked out well. It's alot easier than opening the bator 3 times a day to spritz the eggs. I've got more hatching this morning, so I guess upping the humidity during the last hatch didn't hurt these.
I think this is how 1Much hatches in his Sportsman. Maybe he'll chime in and give us some of his knowledge.

yes! you do need one!

and yes, i got the whole kit & caboodle. it just seemed easier to do it up the first time, rather than add features later.

not dumb. i was perplexed also. the directions say to mist the hatch tray 2-3 times a day with warm water to increase humidity.
i like the hatching tray, it's covered so the cuties can't fall or jump out.

Thanks! I'm working on an incubator, and wanted to make a hatching tray in the bottom, but wasn't sure on the humidity situation.

no prob. i'd love to see your bator when you are finished! how fun!

So this guy makes all of his own incubators and sells them? I'd rather support somone like him than GQF. Looks like they are better quality too. Jayne have you seen the GQF's? Is the quality better?

So when are you getting the seperate hatcher? I'm sure the hubby won't fight too much.....

yes, he even manufactures all of the metal trays and whatnot! i haven't seen a GQF myself, but this thing is as solid as a rock. and Mr. Dickey offers great tech support.

That's good to know. I like supporting people like this, they work hard for a great product.
