It's offical I am the worst Hatcher

Well, it is a Guinea egg. You know how darn hard they are. So I TRIED just to open the part at the large end, but had to use a lot of pressure, so it got a pretty good crack.

And it bled.

Nevertheless, when I saw that it was moving in there, I covered it back up with a wet paper towel and put it back in the incubator.

But I don't have much hope, truly. Very little hope indeed.

Everyone SAID, they can go over and still be alive. But I guess I didn't believe it.

Guineas take 28 to 30 days, how long has it been? Also, did you stop the bleeding? I use a spoon handle to crack the air sac end of Guinea eggs.

It was 29 days. I thought if they hadn't hatched in 28 days, it was over.

Now I REALLY feel dumb.

Well, don't feel dumb. My first round with Guinea eggs, was they did not hatch when the chickens did. So 4 days later I threw them all out thinking they died. Just to have my friend tell me 28 to 30 days.

Keep the little guy moist and hopefully he will pull through and be bouncing around the incubator come morning.

Hatching vibes coming your way.
