It will make him think you are a rival male, so he will defend his territory against you. He might be friendly now but when he gets to maturity he will be vicious if you keep doing it. Best thing to do is to either leave them alone entirely or try to talk in a calm voice and give them nice things so they think as you as a positive thing, instead of a rival.
