All 9 hens laid today! Small potatoes to sum but fun to have them all laying and filling orders already.

That's great guineaguy!! I'd like just ONE EGG a day, but I fear that's asking too much from my hens these days. LOL.

Ooooh JL... collected my first egg from my Choc/Blonde flock this evening! All pooped on and kicked around by my Turkeys like they were playin' egg soccer, but at least ONE Hen has started to lat from that young flock.FINALLY. Now maybe the rest will get a clue, and send telepathic msgs to your Hens to start layin' too, lol.

And check out this lil dude's racing stripes on the side of his head, lol. I've been hatching a few Pied keets with these head stripes every year. Not sure what they mean tho, because once they start losing their down the stripes are gone and I haven't noticed any difference compared to my other Pieds once they mature.


Hatch #3 is in lock-down now...

More on the way... 4th batch of eggs went into lock-down last night

Wow look at all those colours!!! What colour are the 4 around the gap? (light tan with funny head squiggles and white wings? They are very pretty keets!

3 with the darkest brown head stripes are Royal Purples, the 1 with lighter brown head stripes is a Chocolate. Broken/squiggly lines on the head and white wings all the way to the shoulders indicates that they will mature to be partially-pearled. They lose the white down on their wings as they feather in with their first set of baby feathers.

Totally amazing! You'd think royal purple keets would be a very dark colour on hatching, so interesting!

So 7 eggs today out of 9 hens wow my rp sure lack the barring and pearling of yours peeps. Mine look like solid blacks compared to yours. I counted eggs have 75 in the gator start hatching any day and every Friday from this coming lol. Might have to get another one. Lol
