I can't stop taking pictures of my ridiculous cat, Casper! Cap came into my life back in October, and in that time I've taken hundreds of pictures of him. He just keeps doing ridiculous things and I can't help myself! With it being so cold and snowy, and me not being out with my chickens as long as I would be to take pictures of them, it's been hard not to turn my flock thread into a cat thread just by the sheer volume of cat pictures I've been taking over these past few months.

So that that doesn't happen, I've come here to admit that I have a problem... and make a thread to dump all the pictures I take of Casper.

We're here for you, Sister. Though I can feel myself getting sucked into the Casper vortex just looking at his photos. He is ridiculously handsome and entertaining.

Hoo, boy, our young man is absolutely fixated on the chicks that hatched for Easter over the weekend! He sits on top of the cage the brooder is in and watches them.

He waits for me to open up the brooder so that he can get a good look.

I've let him peek a couple times, always with a firm grip on him. Any time it loosens for a second, he tries to climb in there with them!

(Terrible picture because of said firm grip, but... his face )

After such hard work keeping a close eye on the little ones, he naps pretty hard. Actually, he naps hard whether there are chicks involved or not.

It is hopeless. One look at Casper and you are lost. I have 4 adorable cats of my own, I have friends with ridiculously adorable cats who send me pictures of them on a regular basis, there is a whole internet out there full of cats, at yet I wait anxiously for updates to this thread so I can see Casper sleeping.

There's just something so compelling about the random ways he sleeps! Occasionally I get pangs of wondering if it's worth it to post yet another picture of him asleep, so it's good to know at least someone out there gathers some enjoyment, as I do, from seeing his many naps.

We all enjoy Caspers antics! Now Casper, while they may look like feathered chicken nuggets, they are not yet for eating!! Our Tux cat is why I try not to hatch chicks anymore. Alls I seem to do is be feeding him no matter how secure I think I have them.

Whew, that's scary! Thus far, Casper has only been able to stare at them, but I've got them double caged essentially (they are in the baby bin, which is in a big dog cage), so that probably helps. He has tried jumping over me to get into the baby bin when I've been doing something in the brooder with the cage open, though. Luckily, he's not as graceful as he thinks he is so I was able to grab him before he could actually get in there.
