Yesterday was harp day again, but Casper was in my lap when it was about time to go get set up. I told him I needed to get up, but I don't think he believed me.

He compromised, though, and let me leave in exchange for helping him get cozy with pillows

Buttons hasn't been my friend lately, this is the closest she's willingly been in weeks (besides when she's hungry, then she is a love bug). Me thinks the novelty of Pinstripe has worn off. For her, not me

Darn, has it really been 11 days since my last Casper post? June is always my busiest month, so apologies to the Casper fans out there for lack of Casper antics! Here are a few pictures over the past week and a half or so that I've not had the time to share.

He just gets so dangerously close to starvation every morning before I wake up and fill his food dish for the day.

I'm sensing some judgement for paying more attention to my laptop than to him.

I... don't know what he's doing here.

We had a power outage that lasted from Monday night through Wednesday morning this past week. Tuesday and Wednesday were some of the hottest days we've had so far this year, as hot of days as we ever get here, around 97° F (or 36° C) both days. Tuesday without air conditioning was rough. Cappy spent a lot of the day sprawled out on the tile flooring in the kitchen, just trying to cool off a bit, the poor fluffy boy. Midday Wednesday, though, once the power had been back on for a couple hours and the house had started to cool off with the air conditioner running, he was back to his usual cuddliness.

And... He still doesn't understand why I won't let him play with those super interesting little peeping things in the brooder.

What has Casper been up to for this past week?

Naps. Lots and lots of naps.
