I was taking pictures of Casper being a handsome boy at the window this morning...

...when he leaned in to sniff my phone just as I clicked to take a picture. Talk about a close-up!

He's angry at me this morning because I took and threw out his new toy... a live mouse.

Aw, no need to be sad, @RoyalChick ! I think he'll survive, even if his other toys aren't nearly as fun. I'd just rather not have a mouse running around my bedroom when it inevitably escapes from him because he never actually kills them.

I had a stomach ache last night, not long before I had to go out to the chickens, so I was sitting on the couch trying to will myself to feel better (or for the medicine to finally kick in, I guess) before I needed to go outside. Casper never sits by me that late because he's usually too busy having his zoomies or waiting at the top of the stairs for his supper, but last night, he decided to snuggle up next to me, like he knew I didn't feel well and could use the comfort.

And, of course, he never sleeps in a normal position for very long. I was rubbing his tummy and he stretched, then fell back to sleep like this:

I have a chick inside being tube fed at the moment because he's not doing well. I went up this morning to tube feed the chick and Casper was curled up at the head of my bed like he owns the place.

By the time I was done tubing the chick, Casper was back to sleep
