Time for a nap break.
I had a traumatic cat day today. We went to the vet. Never good.
Two cats came and both wanted to murder the vet and his vet tech.
They transformed into creatures from hell. All claws and teeth and flashing eyes.
Ten minutes after we get home they are flat out on the couch snoring away.
Silly kitties.

Aww, poor babies! I hope the vet visit went well otherwise, nothing serious?

The two cats I've had have not been great travelers, but once we'd get to the vet office they were fine. Casper lays on his back in his carrier with his paws on the door and meows the whole way to and from the vet, reminds me of a southern Belle putting her hand over her forehead because she's got the vapors. Then he gets there and he's every bit the lovable fella there as he is at home. Keiko, my last cat, was horrible in the car, though. Panting, drooling, vomiting, yowling, going potty all over herself, the whole nine yards. Even with a prescribed med to help calm her down she was a mess. And then she was chill like none of that ever happened once we got to the vet.



Anyway, Casper's just sitting in the window again on this glum, rainy morning, so I was playing around with what the new phone could do with close ups and got this I was hoping to get closer to his eye, but he keeps moving right when I go to take a picture.

One of them has an infected and inflamed paw - she got antibiotics and a steroid shot and now I have to give a steroid pill each day.
The vet attached a collar to her so she wouldn't lick her paw. I live 12 minutes drive from the vet and she was out of the collar by the time we arrived home.
Later her brother managed to put the collar on himself and went around wearing it rather proudly.
They are all officially nuts!

Jack the black Bobtail is going to a farm or a friend's place soon. He keeps terrorizing my neighbors kitties. Sigh.

I can't stop taking pictures of my ridiculous cat, Casper! Cap came into my life back in October, and in that time I've taken hundreds of pictures of him. He just keeps doing ridiculous things and I can't help myself! With it being so cold and snowy, and me not being out with my chickens as long as I would be to take pictures of them, it's been hard not to turn my flock thread into a cat thread just by the sheer volume of cat pictures I've been taking over these past few months.

So that that doesn't happen, I've come here to admit that I have a problem... and make a thread to dump all the pictures I take of Casper.
