Apologies (a-paw-logies?) for not posting much here in a while! I've been trying to catch up on a ton of things since the semester ended this past weekend, and, phew, I'm one person with a lot I've been waiting to do that I've put off for schoolwork!

Casper has been doing well! No relapses with the cystitis since we switched his diet, and he's adjusted to his fountain well, even preferring to drink out of the running water part now instead of the basin. I do feel like he doesn't seem to care much for the new diet, but he is eating it. Maybe I'm reading more into it than is there. He simply will not eat the canned food consistently, though, so I've only been giving that to him occasionally. He may be the only cat in the world that prefers kibble to wet food.

Toe beans! He still loves this old torn up folding chair for some reason. We'd get rid of it, but he's always hopping up into it to nap like this!

He's still a fresh air enjoyer. Gosh, he's so handsome

He works very hard around here, too. This place is exhausting!

...when a fly buzzed against the glass and distracted him

It was way up out of reach for him, but he was laser focused on it anyway.

Exhausted again... My mom has been bedridden a lot lately (I do not remember if I mentioned this in this thread or not, but she was diagnosed with cancer late last year and is going through various therapies for that still), and Casper has been a very dedicated nap buddy for her, as shown here. What a hard worker!

I have tried for years now to get a picture of his 'pants'... This is the closest I've gotten to getting one because he likes to sit down as soon as he sees me get my phone out for a picture Even though it's not the best angle to show it, I hope it's evident here why I say he wears pants

And, with new chicks having hatched this past weekend here, you'll all be happy to hear he is still very dedicated to his other job of keeping a close eye on the brooder. Obviously this is just to make sure the chicks are safe and he has no ulterior motives behind his actions, of course...

I did not know and I am very sorry to hear about your mom being so sick from the treatments. Caspar by her side will surely help to distract her and provide lots of comfort during this hard time.
