It's too small, right?

Minimum of 4 sq. ft. at least for each bird. I see you have the larger breed chickens. As far as roost bar space goes, about 10 inches length per bird so they can spread their wings out when they are warm and get up and turn around. Do you have their pop door open all the time so they can access the run or do they rely on you to open it for them each morning?

Well, if you're in an area that doesn't get snow or severe storm seasons, and therefore your birds would truly only ever be indoors to roost/lay, then you could probably get by with the 2 sq. ft of housing space that some use. But if you're in an area that does get winters, any situation where the birds might be indoors (by their choice or yours), then I'd suggest 4 sq. ft. min. for your housing. We don't get really bad winters in my area, but we do get snow. And although there's never been a day that I didn't open my pop door for my girls, there are weeks at a time when they spend a LOT more time indoors by choice. They'll go out, but they'll make frequent trips indoors to get out of the weather. My chickens do NOT like snow at all, and avoid it like the plague.

Yeah, the old hens usually stay outside in rain and snow. I'm not sure what the new ones will do. I guess we might have to build a new coop. They do only use it for sleeping, though. Do you think two square feet would be enough? The thing is, we live in Texas, so we don't get alot of rain or snow.
Thanks!

Well, I'm a fan of the 4 sq. ft. min. recommendation myself, but you do what you can do, ya' know?? If you see any winter time symptoms of overcrowding/stress, you can always cull/rehome a few birds to free up space. I think tight quarters are easier among an established flock. Adding newbies always causes issues, whether you have ample space or not. And of course some breeds are milder mannered than others too. So give them as much space as you can spare, and hopefully all will work out fine. And if any problems arise, just downsize your flock.
I would think in Texas the weather would rarely get rough in winter.
