This year has been exceptionally cold and we've had tons of snow.I still can't see any grass patches and the snow in my yard is still a couple of feet deep. Oh well, it's the nature of where we live I guess. It just gets tiresome some years if it's below freezing for a couple of months at a time
Yes, it has been a VERY rough winter up there... my family is all over it, as well. I remember the hardest thing for me being the gray overcast skies and gloom... I am happy to be in FL with the sunshine now... but we visit NY every summer and stay for weeks, go to the Adirondacks, etc... it is so beautiful there, and I am happy my kids can learn to love it as I do.
I do like to *visit* in the winter, too, but two weeks at Christmas was enough for me, especially since I slipped on my folks' icy porch stairs and bruised my ribs!
I hope spring comes quickly and the beauty of NY awakes soon!!!

Ahh....so you're very aware...my sister in law lives in Va and always wants pics of the pretty snow! Lol...yes,it's ok for a while but then it gets old ....by the time you think you can't stand it anymore...it changes
Can't wait for that this year! Yep,been watching our step a lot this year so as not to break a leg,or ankle or whatever....when the snow does melt a little..it refreezes and makes a nice icy walkway
Thanks for wishing us a spring soon
and yes,NY can be beautiful in the summer/fall...we live very close to Vt and Mass borders...gorgeous leaf peeping
Uh, I admit I am too! I did not win an auction on BYC so jumped over to Ebay because I HAD to have eggs. Now I am waiting for them to hatch so I now have eggs coming from 2 BYCers next week and Call Duck Eggs when they start laying. I am STILL looking at auctions. I hope they all hatch now!
