I've been building 2 new breeder pens this past week

Thanks I really like them alot. Just got back home a little while ago from another trip down to Bobbi Porto's to buy a little black silkie and my little niece wanted a little splash baby of her own. Then she had a little partridge roo to go with my little partridge girls.

Total cost for the whole thing was $300. But $100 of that was for a 100' roll of 1/2 hardware cloth and I still have half a roll left over. It was cheaper to buy the 100' roll then the 50' so this way I have some for the next pen I build. lol One more pen that's it.........

I drew it out on paper then made the hutch to fit a sheet of plywood so both hutches use 3 sheets total. Both hutches cost me about $30 to make. Then a few dollars for the hinges. I had the metal diamond plate sheet for the door already.

We have a small building supply here that gets that stuff in. I don't know of anyone but them that carries it that big a roll. Last year I think they carried a 150' roll but this time I went they said it was 100' so it must be from a different supplier. Their lumber is really cheap too. I priced some from home depot and they were $3 a board cheaper at Sparr then at home depot. That makes a big difference when your building anything. I bought 60' roll last year it was $80 so they price varies but it's easier to buy it in the big roll and store it for later use.

It's 48" tall I have it over lapping and then I have a belly band I put around the center to nail the hardware cloth too. I still have to take a picture of it finished.

That is the exact same plans i had...LOL
i guess all great minds think alike
