Ag teacher always said I'd probably end up with worms, guess he was right.

Here's what Tapeworm proglottids look like. They move like tiny slugs or leeches. Was going to take a video for everyone but by the time I found my camera, they had stopped moving.

Been getting lots of help and info from folks via PM's, you know who you are, thanks.

Looking at these nasty pics just makes my butt itch. Stay tapeworm free everybody.!

off to the store....

Here's a roundworm to look at too! This is why I always eat the eggs when I've given them ivermectin or wormer! I do myself at the same time and I don't itch anywhere!!

Do you eat the eggs during the withdrawal period?
I worm my chooks regularly and it makes me sick to not be able to use the eggs
The wormer I use I called flubenvet. It doesn't have a withdrawn it so you can eat the eggs throughout treatment. Ivermectin on the other hand has conflicting withdrawal. I've heard some say that you shouldn't eat the eggs ever again, and some say 7-14 days. I'm not too worried about it and eat them anyway. If you don't want to eat them and not waste them you can boil them up and feed them back to the chickens, they'll love you for it!

To be frank, if you've got worms I would make an appointment at your doctor rather than wasting time seeking advice on a forum for chickens and other fowl.
I dare say some will suggest you get checked over for mites as well.
My advice is to wash your hands more after visiting the toilet and after playing in the back yard.
If you're anything like my eldest you'll probably have nits as well and maybe even mites.
Please consider getting into a dog crate until you are absolutely certain you aren't carrying anything contagions.
Someone will be along shortly to advice on a fecal float, a stomach check and a large bottle of Ivermectin.
