I've had it with chicks OUTGROWING brooder

I'm not sure, but I can give you the dimensions: 2' wide x 4' long x 2' high. I only have 4 four-week-olds in it right now. They are quite comfortable in it- lol. They're getting so big so quick... I knew that in a day or two they would be hitting their heads on the top of the other brooder boxes I was using. I wanna keep them inside as long as my DH will allow it- ha... Not much longer. I would love to know how many NEW chickies would fit comfortably in it if anyone wants to take a guess.

I don't think i know the "recommended measurements" for how much room you should have per baby chick. But my outdoor brooder is about 3'x4', and i have 22 chicks in it right now who were hatched last Wednesday and Thursday, and they look awfully lonely in that big space. Of course, that will change in a few weeks.

Very nice! Looks nice enough to rent out as a spare bedroom to a college student after the birds move to the coop.

great job kinda looks like my baby run now when you move them outside add a wooden box on one end like we did and you have an outside coop and run.

Wow! I never thought of making the brooder the focal point of the room, but with a beautiful one like that - why not?!
