I've never baked with yeast before, I think there was a boo boo

I used up all my dry yeast in a packet yesterday making sticky buns... Went to CostCo today and the 2lb bag of RedStar was $3.89 !! I like the idea of the two individual 1lb bags better, but I'll be freezing the majority of it thanks to the good advice here.

I LOVE TO BAKE, I just hate wasting money doing it.
