So, my laying box has three slots. I have six birds. First, one of my Leghorns gets into the middle slot, and the second Leghorn walks guard duty outside on the perch not letting any other bird near any of the other box slots. Then my Bared Rock gets by, but gets inside of the same slot as the first leghorn. The second Leghorn that was standing guard then gets in with the other two. After it is all over I have three eggs. Why did they all get in the same slot at the same time? I keep them all clean and dry. The other two were empty. It wasn't very cold. I don't get it. What do you think?
