Ivermectin for mites & lice...not worms

so weird we were just talking about this and now I have lice on the chickens -.- first I have ever seen. My chickens lice are pinky flesh colored, hard to spot them. But found them near the vent where the tail feathers meet and leave a small bare spot.

I know what my plans are for after dark tonight.

Have fun! I have a few that I need to check. If they have them I will probably use permethrin spray on them. What will you be using?

The highly controversial fipronil dog spot treatment Some folks on here get a little mad at me for using that. Don't care, works and works great and breaks the life cycle of the bugs. This will be my first time using it for lice though.

Just an update, Ivermectin does kill chicken lice, at least the shaft louse anyway, and diatomaceous earth is pretty useless. DE didn't work for the lice or mites.
