Ivermectin for pigeon feather lice?

Can I inject Ivermectin into the pigeon's beak, or does it have to be mixed with their drinking water? I am trying to control feather lice and my pigeon still has it after I gave it 3 baths of water mixed with Borax.

I've never heard of injecting into any bird's beak. There is the pour on version where you put a drop or a few drops on their backs and repeat in 10 days.

I'd just do what the directions suggest as that'd be the healthiest way to give it.

I see the instructions on that website indicate it should be mixed with water.

I’ve personally only used the ivermectin that is placed as a drop on the bird’s neck, but there’s more than one way to dose them. I would follow the instructions for the particular product
