I have some ivermectin paste on hand and was wondering if I could give a pea sized amount to my peachicks for worming. What do you think?

Anyone ever tried this? I think I will just give them just smaller than a pea size amount. I give a pea size to my chickens as well as rabbits and they do fine with it. I'll buy the safeguard this week and then give that to them in a month or so.

No problems that I can see. At what age do they usually get wormed? We have them inside right now and they aren't near any of the others. I've read conflicting info on when to worm so I'm not really sure when to start.

I will get the safeguard. I think our Tractor Supply carries it. I just had the paste on hand, yes it's for horses, and thought I would use that up before buying anymore ivomec. Would you suggest that I worm them now even though they haven't been running with the others?

I start worming them at 2 or 3 months old. After putting them on the ground, they will need wormed even if not put on the ground if outside. (can get worms from eating insects also.)
