Ivermectin paste - second dose?

I gave each of my chickens a bit of ivermectin paste when I suspected they had worms. The next day, worms were all in their poo, and they seemed to feel significantly better! It has been a couple days since, and they seem normal now. Should I give them a second dose of the wormer? Also, I'm not going to eat their eggs for a couple weeks, but is it safe to cook them and feed them back to the chickens?

Ivermectin has supposedly lost its effectiveness as a dewormer so you really should have used a different product but since you already gave a round of Ivermectin, then yes I would do another dose 10 days later then do a 2 week egg withdrawal and see what happens.

I have fed their eggs back to them after the first dose of Safeguard but not after the second dose because of the residual medicine being fed back to them during the withdrawal period.
