Absolutely. Two years ago a deer hunter shot a 53# female on my property. I had no idea that she was around. For some reason it is very unusual for the coyotes around here to vocalize. They are very stealthy.

We must have all the loud ones around here then...it's not at all unusual to hear yipping and howling several times a week. Fortunately they haven't bothered my chickens but then there is plenty of other stuff for them to eat that's running around in the open.
 
There was a time when she would go away for months at a time, but the last several years she has been a homebody. I have not seen the other feral in quite a while.
She probably finally realized your place is a safe place :love I hope she comes back!
